Does OSleeve Fit Ōura Ring 5? Compatibility & FAQsUpdated 5 days ago

Ōura Ring 5 & OSleeve FAQs

With the launch of the Ōura Ring 5, we've received a lot of questions about compatibility and which OSleeve is right for the new ring. Here's everything you need to know.

Does OSleeve fit the Oura Ring 5?

Yes. We have two options for Ōura Ring 5 owners, depending on how you use your ring.

OSleeve Everyday is a slimmer fit designed specifically around the Ring 5's new form factor. It sits low and barely-there, making it ideal for daily wear: work, commuting, the school run, lighter activity. If you want your Ōura 5 protected without adding any bulk, this is your cover. Available to pre-order now, shipping within one week.

OSleeve Active is the answer when you need real protection. Lifting, CrossFit, manual work, anything where your ring is genuinely at risk. Yes, it will feel a little bigger on the Ring 5 than the Everyday does, and that's by design. The Active is built to absorb the hard knocks, the bar knurling, the tool handles, the things that would otherwise leave a mark on a ring you paid serious money for. It works across all Ōura generations and fits the Ring 5 with a snug, protective hold.

If you're unsure which to choose: Everyday for daily life, Active for the hard stuff. Many customers keep both.

Which size should I choose for Ōura Ring 5?

For the OSleeve Everyday:

  • Small fits Ring 5 sizes 6 to 13. Quality silicone stretches safely across a few sizes, so on the larger end of that range, Small actually grips more securely, not less.
  • Medium works well for sizes 11 and up.

One fit detail worth knowing: because the Ring 5 sits a little differently than older Ōura generations, the OSleeve's edge sits flush at the base of the ring. You may feel that edge against your skin, but it stays clear of the sensor area, so it shouldn't affect your readings.

For the OSleeve Active, refer to the sizing guide on the product page. It fits the full Ring 5 range.

Do I need protection for the Oura Ring 5?

In our opinion, yes.

While Ōura has stated that the Ring 5 shell is more durable and hardened than previous generations, the reality is that all ring materials have limits. We've seen this story before.

Whether a ring uses titanium, ceramic coatings, PVD finishes, or other advanced materials, scratches and cosmetic damage can still occur during everyday activities such as:

  • Weightlifting
  • Gym workouts
  • Yard work
  • DIY projects
  • Sports and recreation
  • Manual work

Any surface can be damaged when it comes into contact with something harder, sharper, or abrasive enough. The OSleeve is designed to take that damage so your ring doesn't have to.

What is the difference between OSleeve Everyday and OSleeve Active?

OSleeve Everyday is a slim, low-profile cover built specifically for the Oura Ring 5. It's made for daily wear: comfortable, barely noticeable, and designed to protect your ring from the scratches and knocks of ordinary life without adding bulk.

OSleeve Active is built for protection under real pressure for all smart rings as a universal protector. It's firmer, more structured, and designed to stay secure when you're lifting, working with your hands, or doing anything demanding. It's compatible with all Ōura generations including Ring 5, and it's the cover we'd put on before a heavy session at the gym or a day on a worksite.

OSleeve Classic is our original, thinner universal cover, still available while stocks last. A solid option if you already know and love the Classic feel.

Why isn't the OSleeve Everyday available to ship immediately?

The Everyday is in production now and available to pre-order, shipping within one week for US customers. International access opens once we're proven and stocked.

I have an Ōura Ring 4. Should I upgrade?

That's a personal decision.

Many of the headline features announced with Ōura Ring 5 are software-driven and continue to build on the Ōura ecosystem. If you're already happy with your Ōura Ring 4, there's no obvious reason to rush into an upgrade. Ring 4 remains a proven smart ring with years of real-world validation behind it.

If you're considering Ring 5 because you prefer a smaller and lighter ring, it may be worth exploring.

Either way, your current OSleeve continues to protect your Ring 4, and the Active covers Ring 5 when you're ready.
